Mark's Legacy

I will always be broken beyond words for the loss of my son. He was my heart. A magnificent light whose beautiful smile gave joy and comfort to anyone who was on the receiving end. His talents were many, and his loyalty and love for God, his family and friends…beyond measure. “Markie” was a free spirit with endless adventures in his soul. He lived life to the fullest. There wasn’t a person he wouldn’t help or a hand he wouldn’t hold. I miss his infectious laugh and beaming personality. What I wouldn’t give for one more…sit around listening to him play the guitar and singing. I miss his “I love youuu” texts. Mark was a warrior. There weren’t many fights he couldn’t win. However, his biggest battle was addiction. His greatest hope was for victory to live out his dreams.

However, in a single moment, his future was stolen by illicit Fentanyl poisoning. So much life yet to live. For now, and forever in the arms of Jesus. Until we meet again, Mark’s HOPE will live on.

I was honored and blessed to receive the following invitation to witness the historic signing of the H.A.L.T. Fentanyl Bill. This has been long overdue at the cost of too many precious lives and future generations. I was able to be the voice for my son.

I could never adequately express how grateful I am for all of the love and support from family & friends for Markie P and the Foundation set up to honor his memory and spread awareness in hopes of lives being saved and hope living on.

God Bless America.
